First of all, Edmund does love Fanny, but she acts so invisible around them, that he constantly forgets that she´s alive. MC is witty and challenging and prettty-Edmund is a guy! He only realizes he truly wants to be with her and love her when he risks losing her. I feel very sorry for Fanny, but it´s obvious that she´s not any good in the guy department.
