One would think she would disapprove of Miss Lavish, especially since she abandoned Lucy, but Charlotte is actually attracted to her original spirit and independence.
I'd wonder how much of Miss Lavish originality is a "pose"? She herself is so intent in remarking his "oddities" that one cannot help having doubts as to her sincerity.
