My nickname for George, as played in the movie, was the "Tree-falling Dolt", and for that Vyse guy "The New Jersey Gigolo" -- I couldn't see the attraction in either one, about equally (though I'm not especially qualified to judge on that point, I guess) -- It certainly did kill the romance of it for me; in the penultimate scene I had to turn away from the screen ("Ugh! Is she really kissing him?!?!?").
