] For me I dont think S&S has the emotional depths of the other novels I've read (P&P, Emma, P, and MP), at least it didn't resonate with me in the same way as the others. I would rank it 5th of the 5 I've read.

You mean you haven't read Northanger Abbey?? I'm shocked! ;-)
Actually, it's rather short and is a light funny read; you shouldn't continue to deny yourself the pleasure. ;-)


For me, Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park, Persuasion, and Northanger Abbey are all on the top rung, with not much separating them; then comes Sense and Sensibility, which I considerin some ways to be a little awkward as her first published novel; and finally comes Emma, where I can't really empathize with the heroine...
