] ] We will probably have about a month's time between the end of the MP read and the start of the Jane Eyre read. Does anyone have suggestions on how to fill it?

] I thought we were going to begin Jane eyre right after MP so that we could finish it before the film is shown on A&E. Was an executive decision made to put it off or am I just living in the state of confusion?

]How about a novel by Barbara Pym? I have heard her described as Jane Austen's equal. Another English author who is considered a "modern" Jane Austen is Anita Brookner.
I haven't read any of Barbara Pym's work but I have read
several of Anita Brookner's. Hotel du Lac is especially
good--romanic, class and social conflicts, good characterisations. It is a fairly light read. A biography
or analysis of JA could be helpful/interesting as well.
