In response to Divinity, written by Hil on February 05, 1998 at 22:57:01

] I go round in circles with this question, Cheryl! I do believe there is divinity in Oscar. But I think it is perhaps a more obvious streak of the divinity that all people have in them. It is that of God in us all, but more noticeable in Oscar, if that makes sense? And that makes him as human as us. I like that.

It does make sense, and I of course agree. Why is it so noticeable in Oscar? I think it has to do with his utter lack of guile; he may not reveal all he knows or thinks, but he has no hidden agenda, he cannot manipulate (intentionally ;-), there is a naivete to him that is appealing. In spite of what he goes through, I think of him as an innocent.
