I don't understand it myself really :(

Its difficult for me to put into words, its more of feeling I have. I somehow didn't have a problem with the Bronte's, but with George Eliot its radically different.

When I tried to read Middlemarch,I couldn't, I hated her characters. I know thats a strong word, but nobody had any redeeming qualities. Dorothea was weak. When GE popped into O&L, I thought of how weak the characters are. I mean they both gamble practically their lives.

Although I will admit, I did like Wardley Fish;)
