I didn't realise until Laura mentioned it to me. I do like it. I also like that there are references to Elliot in Possession, too, and that the time periods of the 2 books, around 1860, are shared. Strange but nice to have such different writing styles, characters, and environments, but share such richness of language and imagery, and a time period.
