In response to Just a wee something (tho' a bit late) for Burns Night..., written by Stolzi on January 25, 1998 at 19:48:14

I just came back from a Burns Supper that my boss threw. No one had done this before so we had had to search the 'net for instructions last week. This evening, after a brief explanation of who exactly Burns was for us more ignorant types, he read the Selkirk Grace and we sang Auld Lang Syne. He piped in the haggis with a CD of "Scotland the Brave." Our director had made said haggis (which she had never done before, and she couldn't find a sheep's stomach which we said was just as well) - it was not that bad, really! And there was Aberdeen steak and whiskey pie as well.

But most of us didn't know enough to launch into any poetry recitals and toasts, but 'twas a literary evening, and we didn't watch the Super Bowl!
