If Catherine is suspicious of evil diseases, then her favorite reading should be Michael Crichton thrillers. And the General takes her on a tour of the animal research labs, gloating because the Allens don't have nearly as many chimpanzees as he does.

(The growing realization that Austen fans are NUTS has done something to my life, maybe enriched it, I dunno...)
