In response to Eleanor's knowledge, written by Carolyn B on January 17, 1998 at 22:00:07

...Not privy to Henry's discovery of Catherine in their mother's room, of course, but that still does not rule out Eleanor telling Henry about Catherine's odd questions during their walk together.

] And might Eleanor too know enough about her young guest's reading habits to have an inkling why Catherine became suddenly interested in their late mother?? A leap perhaps but possible??

"for I understand you perfectly well", says Henry to Catherine back in Ch. 16. As to how he knew she suspected his father of violence towards his mother, while I think it's a good question, I think Catherine was so charmingly transparent in-general that it was inevitable that he would find out, with some help from Eleanor.
