In Chapter 16, the introduction of Captain Tilney:
" He cannot be the instigator of the three villains in horsemen's greatcoats, by whom she[Catherine] will hereafter be forced into a traveling-chaise and four, which will drive off with incredible speed.
Every time I read the book after time away, I think, "wait, that didn't happen did it? Wasn't that just in the movie? Or maybe it did happen. Or... no, wait a minute......."
JA gets me every time with that line!
