Yes, it would be a good soap opera. But hasn't it been done in practically every soap, in some form or another? One main difference is that at least in Lady Susan, they all pretend to be moral, whereas in soaps, they don't care about morality, or only give it a token gesture. (Usually the gesture is derogatory (sp?), but sometimes it comes out as it should.) ;-)
