] ] So, when does Henry start to view Catherine as a prospective bride? Does he start to court her because his father asked it of him or is it just a lucky coincidence?

] I finished the book Wednsday night... I couldn't stop myself.. it was sooo good and just kept getting better ;) in the last chapter JA tells us that Henry thought of her as a prospect because she had shown how much she liked HIM, He was flatered and then was won over by her honesty and sweetness, so I think although maybe he didn't think of his marrying her at first... he liked to be around her because she made him feel good about himself ("if Mr. Thorpe would only have stopped,I would have jumped out and run after you." Is there a Henry in the world who could be insensible
] to such a declaration? Henry Tilney at least was not."ch.12)and the more he saw of her honesty and sweetness the more he saw what a wonderful Clergyman's wife she would make!!and that his father seemed to urge the match was also a factor... but my question is did Henry and Elinor know the size of her fortune? IMHO it seemed they did and were just surprised that the General should still like her and encourage the match.
