I think it was at Northanger. The time in Bath was a little too short. There are so many days that aren't described, so we can only guess at what they've been doing and feeling then.

Does he start to court her because his father asked it of him or is it just a lucky coincidence?

I don't want to spoil my image of Henry by thinking that he was acting out his father's commands :-)
So I think it was all his own doing!
