] JA's wit and spark is everywhere in S&S! And yes-I am a fan of the Will confession scene, one of the most powerful and dramstic scenes JA ever wrote-all of those exclamation marks.."Marianne, looking likr an angel and Sophia jealous as the devil!!

I wish they could have found time to put it in the movie. For one, it shows how much Will realizes he's missed out on. And perhaps shows that he feels guilty for causing her near-death. It was entirely his doing that she ever attached herself to him (if he had not been so agreeable in everything she would not have liked him much more than Brandon), and then they sustained it together until he was forced to go away--and he would not tell her the real reason for his going, and did not put an end to her hope! He probably didn't feel as guilty as he ought....
