When I was in college, my favorite professor always told us not to read the intros (then the first book we read that first semester, he told us to read that particular intro, but that's beside the point...). If I had known they'd be this funny, then maybe I would have read them! But only after I had read the book. I'm one of those people who is hesitant to read the book jackets or the back of paperbacks, because I don't want to read any spoilers.

Please keep posting these quotes from the intro!

Lynn
