Sophie's World (not Sophie's Choice) by Jostein Gaarder? I read it last summer and loved it, as did my mom and brother. It's a history of philosophy/mystery/fantasy mixed up into one. Very enjoyable!

I know that there are many books lined up for groupreads, but maybe sometime in the future we could consider reading this. It'd take awhile (it's around 500 pages, and needs time for digesting), but well worth it.
