Your list was quite good, Greg, but I can think of (IMO) another difference :

I think that Catherine has more intelligence. Granted, she is influenced by Isabella, James, Henry, et al, but she does stick up for herself and her opinions more than does Harriet. She occasionally disagrees with a debater as experienced and agile as Henry, which shows more backbone and confidence. Perhaps upbringing had something to do with this - Catherine being raised in a loving and sensible family, Harriet being raised within the confines of Mrs. Goddard's school - but, even in a parody I don't think that JA would saddle us with a stupid heroine. And, as sweet and kind as is Harriet, she is no Rhodes scholar!
