Quoting the novel

I would like to suggest that, when you have a long passage to quote in your post, you quote the beginning of it, cite the chapter and perhaps summarize it or note the reasons for which you are quoting. As we are all reading the same book, it should be easy enough for us to look it up either on the printed page or through the link provided at the top of this page.

I would also like to suggest that, when responding to a longish post or quote, that you snip wherever possible in your post and not repeat, in it's entirety, the message to which you are responding. I believe this makes the messages easier to read as well as cheaper to deliver.

Thanks,

Myretta
