] These seem the most plausible to me, as well. Like Catherine, in this case I choose to be "guided only by what (is) simple and probable" (NA, p. 53). As much as I want to be Elizabeth Bennet, I sometimes find other characters seeping in!
] And remember that the General's eldest son is much like him, which may lend credence to Cassia's arguments.
