[snip]

But I'm wondering -- after I finish the novel, is it worth it to rent the movie and really watch it? I've heard so many different accounts of it to puzzle me greatly!

.....as indicated by Michele don't expect a P&P2 production. Personally, I did not care for the music; even though it was eerie/gothic(she admits grudgingly), I just found it annoying(a little went a long way). I also did not particularly like that whole music room/garden scene with the countess(?) and page. I,too, would have enjoyed seeing and hearing more of Henry Tilney's conversations with Catherine. I really, really like his character.

Of course, I would still not mind viewing NA again, so it couldn't have been that bad! :-)
