What's the difference?

Does anybody know what exactly they are? According to JA description of the Upper Rooms,
the place is very similar to a modern disco ;).

I was wondering about this myself! What exactly is the difference between the "upper" and "lower" rooms? Is the upper somehow better? Please 'splain.
