I just finished rewinding the second tape of the BBC adaptation of Jane Austen's 'Mansfield Park' It seemed so...so...well, perhaps I didn't like it because I was watching it early morning ( 1 am-)...I found the acting sometimes unbearable...so fake...sometimes I laughed at it (couldn't help it)...doesn't make me want to read the book...Fanny seems such a prude...I happen to like Lizzie and Emma's sprightliness much better.
Is there another better adaptation?? Or am I being too critical???-KAREN L
