There is a play running off-off Broadway till early January called "The Christmas Carol Conspiracy: Scrooge's Revenge". The Time Out plot summary says: "Ebeneezer finds out that his ghost hallucinations were the product of someone's having put something in his eggnog. As a result the spirit of Christmas gets a serious flogging."

I think I'm going to have to go and see this ;-)
