] When I looked at the book, I was surprised this time to note that Scrooge expresses readiness to change, right from the beginning, as he addresses the three Spirits. Probably a much faster conversion than realistically could be expected. One of the reasons you simply can't rate this by the same standards as realistic fiction.
Of course not, Dickens always said it was a ghost story, therefore, a creature in the realm of fantasy.
