childhood memories

My mother bought an illustrated edition of ACC and read it to us after dinner over a couple of weeks - must have been when I was seven or eight. The illustrations were great - line drawings, in a kind of cartoon style, with exaggerated features.
As I have read it this time too, I have this very strong impression that I must have been in a play of ACC, either at school or in a drama group or something. For some reason I think I played Bob Crachitt! But while I have strong memories of every other play I was in, this is just an impression, so maybe we just rehearsed it. I had this strong sense of deja vu when I was reading about Bob and Tiny Tim - and that's what I think it was.
Any one else have early memories of ACC?
