of course you're right... I just am concerned that ACC and works in a similar vein glorify Christmas as the time to do nice things... in a kind of schmaltzy way that doesn't confront us with the structural issues that cause people to suffer throughout the year?

There's nothing wrong with giving to charity at Christmas and spreading a bit of Christmas cheer, but if it's the only time we do it, then it is IMO somewhat hypocritical.
