I agree with some of this. I think there is just enough hinting from Miss Austen to make me think that Wickham was jealous and was trying for some revenge. (on Eliazbeth maybe, not so much Darcy at this point) But I also think lust was a prime motivator! ...having his debts paid off and a shotgun wedding just fell into his lap.;-)
