There are a few connects I am sure...but I think Caroline was in love with Robert alot sooner than Fanny was with Edmund. Fanny and Edmund was more like an after-thought. Caroline struggled throughout the whole book. Fanny was also a dependent whereas, Mr. Helstone welcomed his niece as if she were a daughter. But the falling in love with one's cousin was definitely the same. They mentioned that in the book that they were related but I thought it was quite distant. I do not even see why they had to make such a big deal about how one addresses a cousin...Just MO
