I my! I simply adored that book. Right until the very end, I was totally addicted. It is the best book I have read in a long time. It reminds me of all the good parts of Jane Austen wrapped into one book...with a little more romance than "and they were married...The End"
Thank you all that encouraged me to read it, even though I was so skeptical it might have a bad ending.
For those of you who have read it...don't you think it should have beem called Caroline? I thought Shirley was a very minor character to Caroline...IMO of course! :-D
