Wow, Kali. You've thought about this for a minute or two. I can't help but agree with some of what you say. I am a little more sympathetic to Fanny, maybe identify with her a little more, and so tend to read in more growth and reflection in her character than you do. Doubtless our friends Ann and Henry who ID with her even more find even more evidence of transformation.

I am glad we are doing this read. Thanks, Ann, for thinking of it. I hope we don't get too "het up" about it.
