] Oops! I said Lloyd-Biggs when I should have said Biggs-Withers. Sorry, Lea. I never was much of a scholar!
That O.K.
] I welcome your insights into the novel. I am not Christian myself, but I honor and respect the effects of deep faith upon the human character; and I recognize the portrayal of its power in Mansfield Park. You have a valuable perspective for us to consider. Do please share with us how you perceive the characters' actions. Do you think Henry Crawford more of a tragic figure or a villainous one? What I mean is, do you think we should feel sorry for him becuase we are all human and all have erred; or do you think he was careless and hardened in his wrong-headed ways and "deserved" to suffer? Or perhaps you have a completely different viewpoint? Just wondering! Don't feel obliged to come up with "the" answer, if you know what I mean
Thanks for the invitation to share my insights. I wish I had time to answer these questions tonight / this morning :-), but I want to think about your questions before I give a "rash" answer.
