Edmund actually annoys me more than Fanny, so consequently I can't agree with, although I can understand, the attraction to him.

I read somewhere in Jane Austen-A family record that when Jane Austen was once asked who is her favorite male character in her books, she replied they were Mr. Knightly and Edmund Bertam.
