] ] Does anyone like Poe or Hawthorne? I would like a group read of anything by Poe and maybe Rappucini's Daughter (my favorite alltime story} by Hawthorne. Perhaps House of the Seven Gables would be tough but I kind of like the short storys by famous authors idea. They offer some quick reads and good discussion.

] I love Poe. I like the short storys idea too. "In that quarter" I like Saki (isn't he wonderful), Roal Dahl, Ray Bradbury and Julio Cortazar (he was an Argentine)

I have always wanted to read, "The Purloined Letter", by Poe. This is supposed to be be first true detective story.

Also, I would love to have a mass read of O. Henry. A little O. Henry would set me up forever.
