His inner fight takes place before he arrives at the rectory, throught all his stay at Rosings (that is why he keeps postponing his departure). He is unsettled because it is the first time he acts against his convictions! He does not propose on the spurr of the moment!


Well, Constanza, I am afraid that we will have to agree to disagree on this. I cannot see him acting so indecisive if he had made up his mind, and you cannot see him leaving Rosings to visit her if he had NOT made up his mind. I can see why you believe the way you do, but I cannot sign up to it. Sorry.
