I agree! I had my introduction to Shakespeare in 8th grade. We read both Julius Caesar and The Merchant of Venice. We read JC first -- all the students were assigned parts to read but first we listened to a recording of the play before we attempted to read the words ourselves. It made it much easier. When we read Merchant, there was no recording, but again, all the students were assigned parts. I gues this is just a long way of saying I absolutely agree!
