] I cannot find an indication anywere to justify your conclusions that 1) we have written off this fine novel or 2) the lack of a board is due to the unattractiveness of Fanny and Edmund. When this site began it had one board (Pride and Prejudice and - gasp! - it was a board to discuss the A&E production, not just the novel). The site has changed, gradually, over the past year when time and disk space permitted and where interest dictated.
Perhaps I am making assumptions that the apparant lack of interest is due to a contemporary judgement of MP. I hope my assumptions are proved wrong. I am, however, somewhat shocked that there are time, resources and - more importantly - sufficient interest to justify boards for Persuasion and S&S but not MP. This is not a gripe about how the republic is managed (I'm very grateful it exists and am impressed with its efficient management). this is a gripe about priorities. I find it difficult to understand that MP is less important to the citizens of the republic that Persuasion or S&S. But perhaps that's just me. The post was intended to understand your priorities and stimulate discussion - if it appeared overly critical of the way the site was run then I apologise.
] I hope that you find this post clearer about the way the site is run and the reasons there is not, at the moment, a separate board for your favorite novel. In future, you might want to learn some of the background rather than basing your criticism on unfounded assumptions.
I never said MP was my favourite novel, Austen or otherwise. As it happens it isn't. Perhaps we all occasionally lapse into unfounded assumptions.
