Bad Audio Abridgement

] Yesterday, as I was looking for a normal book in my school's English library, a condensed version of P&P caught me eye, I started reading a bit but gave it up, would you read a book that's supposed to be P&P if it was:
] *70 pages long, with lot's of pictures from P&P1 and rather big letters.
] *No Mary
] *Darcy observes Elizabeth has "nice eyes"
] *"Haterd is a failing indeed.
] And so on...
I took home an abridged audio, which contained the following "gem" :
JA : (a sarcastic Elizabeth to her mother, regarding the latter's plan to send Jane to Netherfield on horseback in bad weather) "That would be a good scheme if you were sure that they would not offer to send her home."
AUDIO : (same scene, non-sarcastic Elizabeth) "That would be a good scheme."
At that point, I ripped the cassette from the player and took a few deep breaths.
I should have known better!
