] All in all, I found Fanny to be very likeable in this movie. In fact I would say it quite changed my opinion of her from neutral to decidedly positive.
I was less antagonistic with Fanny in the movie...I read it when I was very young and could not really picture the movement of the characters and what that life was really like. She was still too much of a martyr for me, however. But I admired her holding her ground regarding all the pressure to marry Henry Crawford even with Lord Bertram...THAT was a great scene!
