] Right now I'm reading (in addition to P & P, of course!) Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It's a VERY romantic book. So far, I really like it, and it was given to me by a friend who absolutely loved it. Also, it's set in South America and it might be fun to have a somewhat different setting.

I think that "A hundred years of solitude" or whatever is called in English "Cien a/os de soledad" is much much better. Try and read it if you didn't. That and the Isabel Allende's "The House of Spirits" are IMHO the best novels written by modern Latin American writers.
