] Since the books are not readily available, they won't do for a group read- but I do heartily recommend them to anyone who can actually find a copy for private reading (and the PBS video production of Mapp and Luciafrom a decade ago is one of the best book-to-movie adaptations I've ever seen).
I've added them to the Recommended Reading page - people might be able to find them at their libraries.
