In response to Kali, you took my ideas..., written by Cassia on November 28, 1997 at 14:59:14

] ] How about The Enchanted April by Elizabeth von Arnim, Eliot's Middlemarch, Auntie Mame by Patrick Dennis, or an Edith Wharton Novel? The House of Mirth, , or The Age of Innocence...

] ] Nearly all of these have been adapted for the screen, and might make good Virtview tie-ins (I know we've already done The Buccaneers)...

]

] I'd really like to do The House of Mirth. If we do Toni Morrison, I'd prefer Jazz. I'd also like to add these suggestions:

    ]
  1. Fay Weldon Splitting
  2. To Kill a Mockingbird Harper Lee
  3. Daniel Doranda George Eliot
  4. Great Expectations Charles Dickens
  5. Shirley Charlotte Bronte, someone here told me it shows her sense of humour (sorry I can't recall who)
  6. Disappearing Acts Terry McMillan

] Just a few.:)

I also came up with:

  1. Since we've read Byatt, we should try her sister Magaret Drabble, The Ice Age is a good choice
  2. Mrs Dolloway Virginia Woolfe
  3. The Eight Katherine Nevillefor the fun of it
  4. Chilly Scenes of Winter Anne Beatty or her new one that's a modern retelling of Wuthering Heights
  5. Jane and Prudence or any other Barbara Pym
  6. Ethan Hawke novel, I can't recall the title but it is a love story written from the man's pov
  7. We've Always lived at the Castle Shirley Jackson for a bit of the Gothic

    I'll most likely think of more but that's all for now.
