] Certainly, Darcy's Story lacks the passion of many of the stories in the Derbyshire Writers Guild, but I think that Janet Aylmer did exactly what she said she wanted to do, to tell P&P through Darcy's eyes.

I was actually thinking (with respect to fan fiction) of a story that JacqueJ wrote about the story from Darcy's point of view, which is not overly passionate (;-)) but which I think does a better job than Aylmer of explaining his motivations and reactions. Here's a link to it.
