Raucous and rancorous disputes (well, at least for AUSTEN-L ) as to whether Mansfield Park (or at least its ending) is or is not a "failure", and whether or not Fanny Price is at all admirable as a character or successful as a literary heroine. Is that neutral and objective enough for you? ;-)
