Darcy? Shy?? Reserved, yes. Proud, yes. Does this mean he was shy? I usually equate shyness with a fear of what others will think, therefore an unwillingness to speak to them. (or at least somehow feeling reluctant to speak based on inferiority of some kind) Darcy was certainly not afraid of them, he thought he was above them intellectually. If your definition of shyness is different, let me know! :-)
