] I think here Darcy describes his friend very well and provides us with a "clue" (spoiler****) of what will happen later on when Bingley will be easily persuaded that Jane does not love him.
Poor Bingley. Yes, he is easily persuaded, why shouldn't he be, he has placed himself in Darcy's hands. Is it too much to expect to trust a friend to give you guidance? Remember, Bingley is only 22 or 23 three in this novel, and how many of us were completely sure of our selves at that age?
