One of the awful things about "great" poetry is that you are supposed to like it- because it's poetry and because someone else has decided it's great. I find that it takes me a long time to appreciate a poem, and I have to work it through for myself.
And bad verses, unless thay are funny, are excruciating!Vogon stuff in particular....
