] Isn't Elizabeth's reaction on hearing of Jane's illness really justified? I mean, she has to walk through muddy fiels in order to get to her, and it is a rather long walk. Doesn't she overreact? I think Bingley's sister are right here!


It does show the Bingleys and Mr Darcy how much she cares for her sister. But I don't think it is really justifiable. And had it never taken place. Caroline Bingley would have probably become Mrs Darcy (ugh!!!)
