I may be the minority on this one, but I think Charlotte made the right choice *for her* by marrying Mr. Collins. She is fully aware of his (considerable) limitations and faults, but she also knows herself; she's not the romantic type, and what she wants is a stable home where she will be secure. She certainly gets that with Mr. Collins. She doesn't require an amiable, intelligent man, just one that can provide well for her. Mr. Collins seems to fill that need quite well. In terms of being sensible, convienent and beneficial to both sides, I think it is an excellent match.
